FREIGHT RATES.
PENDING DISCUSSIONS. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND. Feb. 17. After four years’ absence from the Dominion, Mr It. M Campbell, economic adviser to the New Zealand Goveminent in London, arrived to-day. He has come to New Zealand in connection with the periodical revision of freight rates for the Dominion’s primary produce exports. Negotiations for a. renewal of the freight contract would lie held in Wellington shortly, he saitl, between the Government and the produce organisations on the one hand and the shipping lines on the other. The contract covered all refrigerated produce. Whether the rates would be changed depended on the results ol the coming discussions.
