FASCIST COUNCIL
QUIET MEETING.
STATEMENT DEFERRED
“NATIONAL ASPIRATIONS.”
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received February 17, 9 a.m. LONDON, Feb. 16.
The British United Press Romo correspondent states that the Fascist Grand Council’s morning statement merely announces a scholastic charter to ensure that teaching from the kindergarten to the university shall be on a strictly Fascist plane, and orders that membership of semi-military school organisations shall continue until the age of 21.
The absence of mention of foreign affairs strengths the view that Signor -_ussolini has “pigeon-holed” revelation of Italy’s “natural aspirations” til 1 the next Council meeting on March 21, with the inauguration of the new Chamber of Fascist Corporations, which might be regarded as a suitable occasion for the pronouncement.
