KELVIN GROVE.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) KELVIN GROVE, Fob. 16. As the school bus was not ready for transporting the loeal children to the Terraco End School at tho commencement of the year, tho loeal school was again opened in charge of Mr C. Tunnicliffe, until Inst week. The bus services commenced last Monday, and on that day, also, Mr Tunnicliffe took up his now duties as sole teacher at Tirilen. Mrs Tunnicliffe who, with her husband, was involved in a severe motor accident on New Year’s Day, has now recovered from her injuries. The Hall Committee met, recently and it was decided to hold a function in the near future to raise funds for improving the hall. The weather has been fine, though at times windy, for the past few weeks, making it. fairly good for haymaking. The soil is very dry and hard, and gardens are showing a parched appearance, while many farm houses arc inconvenienced by empty of nearly empty, tanks.
