DESPERATE STRUGGLE FOR SUPREMACY IN THE ALEXANDRA PARK HANDICAP.—The stable mates, Sandusky, rails (C. G. Smith), and Bexley Girl (F. J. Smith), fighting out the finish of the big event at the Auckland trots at Alexandra Park. Sandusky led throughout, but Bexley Girl lost a great deal of ground through breaking at the start and put up a phenomenal performance to finish second, within half a length of Sandusky. The drivers are brothers-in-law.
