MANAWATU TROTTING CLUB.
MATINEE MEETING TO-MORROW.
With tho first race on the programme of six events timed for 2 p.m. the Manawatu Trotting Club will conduct a matinee meeting on the Fitzroy Stroet training track to-morrow, when followers of the light harness sport, and others who have not yet lieen introduced to it. are promised a very pleasant afternoon. Tea will bo available on tho ground, and racebooks giving information concerning tho contestants will he sold. Matinee fixtures of this nature havo proved very popular in the Auckland province, and the Manawatu Club is to bo commended for its enterprise. Admission to the course is free, but no motor-cars will be allowed in the paddock. Besides the local contingent, horses from Wavcrloy, Feilding and Otaki will be competing. The old champion Harold Logan will he started in the last race, so that the public will bo able to see this favourite in action.
