TAYO DISCUSSIONS HELD
Proceedings at yesterday afterday afternoon’s session of the conference took the form of two seminars. The topic discussed in the main hall was “Library Extension AVork,” tlie leader being Air E. • B. Ellerm (Leys Institute, Auckland), who dealt with the theoretical aspect. The second speaker was Airs E. L. Christian (Palmerston North Library), whose talk centred on practical work and children’s sections. Air A\ . C. Prosser presided. In an adjacent room the second seniinar was held, “Union List of Serial Publications and Union Catalogues” being the subject discussed. The leader was Air W. J. Harris, B.A. (Otago University) and the second speaker. Air C. W. Collins, ALA. (Chnterbury University College).
