BUILDING LOANS.
MANAWATU CO-OP. SOCIETY. A meeting of the,bboard of directors of the Manawatu Co-operative Buildincr Society was held last night, when the following were present: Messrs G. G. Priest (chairman), G. B. Cope, G. D. Pattle. J. J. O’Shea and the society’s solicitor (Mr G. I. McGregor). It was decided to grant two loans in No. 1 group, of £7OO and £7OO, free of interest. As No. 2 group has completed 15 years’ business, the board announced that share money payable by shareholders will stop and the group will carry on for the purpose of termination. In group No. 4 a loan of £7OO was approved upon the report of the valuer. A successful shareholder in No. 5 group has decided to place liis loan of £7OO on deposit. Appropriations amounting to £4OOO in all groups will take place early next month.
