Ilaydon; three miles, L. Hawthorne; shot putt, C. E. Barraud; 100 yards and 220 yards junr, D. Ryan, R. Langley, S. Burns; 880 yards and mile junior, A. Cozens; women’s running events, Mrs V. Rollerson, Miss A. Wilson and Miss P. Wilson; women’s field events, Miss A. Wilson: women’s relay, Mrs V. Rollerson, Misses A. Wilson, P. Wilson and D. Todd. KIA TOA CLUB. Owing to their having participated in tho Manawatu amateur athletic championships the previous evening, several of tho Kia Toa Club’s athletes did not take part in the meeting of the club held at tiio Sportsground last evening. Ail excellent race resulted in the llireoquarter mile event, in which L. Hawthorne, tho Manawatu mile champion, was narrowly defeated by C. McVicar, a-,-yards and 880 yards champion, who was conceded a start of 12 yards. J. Millar (25 yards) ran a well-judged race to linisn a yard behind Hawthorne. Details are: 85 yards.—J.
