An anti-cyclone covers the North Island, hut pressure is lxjginning to fall in the south under the influence of a depression located over the southwest Tasman Sea. Forecast: Moderate north-westerly winds, gradually increasing and later reaching gale force at times in some exposed positions. Weather: Fair, but- cloud increasing later, and rain developing to-morrow in and west of the ranges. Temperatures rising; Seas, moderate but increasing. RIVER GAUGE. Noon. —lft. Din.
