NOTES.

While firing a Royal Air Force aeroplane near Salisbury, Mr M. B. Fawcett, of Feilcling, who arrived in England last June, had (o make a forced landing with engine trouble, says a London correspondent. The aircraft struck a heifer and turned on its nose. Mr Fawcett- was taken to hospital, badly shaken and with a cut head. The heifer was killed.
