BAND’S ENGAGEMENT.
For Press Association. WANGANUI, Feb. 14. Regarding the Wanganui Pipe Rand’s engagement to play at the Hastings Show next month, the president (Mr R. McSkimming) stated that the A. and P. Association had sent a representative to Wanganui to persuade the band to accept. All the band was getting out of the trip was £3 10s toward the uniform fund. It had accepted as a matter of courtesy.
