ATHLETICS AND CYCLING.
EVENING SPORTS. The results of the Feilding Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club’s evening sports, held at Kowliai Park last evening, are as follow: CYCLING. Half-mile. —L. Flintoff 1, G. Allen 2, H. C. Stewart 3; time, 1.5. One mile.—-L Flintoff 1, A. Dewe 2, E. AVilson 3; no time recorded. Three miles. —E. Wilson 1, G. Allen 2, L. Flintoff 3; time, 7.117. At the end of the sixth Jap the field was bunched, with only Stewart in the rear half a lap back. A. Fade and H. Stewart withdrew at the end of the seventh lap and with three laps to go Flintoff was leading from M. McCardle and G. Allen. A lap from the finishing tape Wilson was in charge, followed closely by Allen and Flintoff. Wilson finished fast, with Allen and Flintoff a yard or two behind. RUNNING. lOOvds. —E. Butten 1, G. Fisher 2. D. McCardlc 3. 220yds.— E. Batten 1, D. McCardlc 2, J. E. Rasmussen 3; time, 24sec. 880vds.— D. McCardlc 1, G. Fisher 2, H. Haycock 3; time, 2.7. Boys’ 110yds.—Sporle 1, Garnett 2. Rosanoski 3.
