NEW JAPANESE THREAT.
SOUTH-WEST CHINA. Received January 25, 12.20 p.m. CHUNKING, Jan. 24 The Japanese have occupied Waicho Island and Pakhoi. This is believed to bo the prelude to an .attempt on a large-scale landing in South-West China, also a threat to Hainan.
