LONDON, Jan. 23

The Berlin correspondent of the News-Chronicle says that Herr Hitler, apparently without consulting- its chiefs, has completed Nazi dominance over the army by decreeing measures which it might have resisted.

These are expected to include the redistribution of the large estates among political “reliables,” the abolition of the Confessional Church, the confiscation of private property, and the abolition of aristocratic titles.

A new army regulation entails that the Nazi Party shall control every man before and after he leaves the army. The Black Guards will be augmented and their arms increased. The Reich Officers’ Association will be dissolved and army chaplains probably disbanded.

The inoculation of the army with Nazi ideology entails Hitler-worship, paganism, and education in the “world fight against Bolshevism.” With regard to Herr Hitler’s completion of Nazi dominance over the business world, the Berlin correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says that business men adhere to their first impression that Dr. Schacht’s dismissal from tho presidency of the Reichsbank threatens Germany’s financial stability. Stock exchanges reflect fears of inflation, but panic is not manifested. Workers in the Ruhr district of Germany demonstrated against tho food shortage yesterday. They do not complain of low wages, but of tho absence of supplies in the shops.
