DECEMBER BUTTERFAT
PAYAfENTS IN AIANAWATU
Payment for December supplies of butterfat was made a few days ago to suppliers in the Manawatu-West Coast district on the basis of Is 2d per lb. butterfat for butter and about Is 3d for cheese.
Though individual figures are not available three large butter factories operating close to Palmerston North distributed a total of £60.406. Production lias been well maintained, the peak period having lasted longer than usual this season owing to better conditions for pasture growth.
