HOLIDAY TOURNAMENTS. NORTHERN CLUB. A progressive pairs tournament was played on the Northern Bowling Club’s green yesterday under perfect weather conditions. Hearsey was declared winner of the skips’ section, having 88 points to his credit, Titshall being second with 84 points. Stuart won the leads and Borlace was awarded second prize, having scored most points of those* with four wins. MANAWATU CLUB. Conditions were perfect for the progressive pairs tournament played on the Manawatu green. Twenty-eight players took part, and the results were: ■ — Skips.—Blake. To find the winners, five extra beads were played. Copeland and Blake met McGilvrnv and Jones, the former two scoring seven against their opponents’ four, thereby winning the match.
