PREVENTING ICING-UP.
HEATING OF CARBURETTORS
WASHINGTON, Jan. 22.
Imperial Airways’ failure to equip the Cavalier with the standard American equipment for heating the carburettors to prevent icing-up has been reported to tho Civil Aeronautics Authority.
The report will be investigated when Imperial Airways’ application for a certificate enabling them to continue using an American airport for the service to Bermuda is- considered.
