MINE DISASTER.
JAPANESE VICTIMS. Received January 23, 9.45 a.m. TOKIO, Jan. 22. A gas explosion in a coalmine in the Miyadacho Prefecture of Fukuoka, five miles below the surface, buried 75 miners. Six have been rescued and five bodies recovered.
