MOTORIST PUNISHED. Per Press Association. NAPIER, Jan. 23. Fourteen days' imprisonment was imposed by the Magistrate (Mr Miller) on A lick McMillan, a commercial traveller, of Hastings, aged 36, for intoxication in charge of a ear. “Six weeks ago I issued a warning that 1 would have to consider imprisonment in some of these cases,’ the Magistrate said. “Taken on its own, this ease is not it bad one. This man has been before the Court twice on these charges, and once lor dangerous driving. The previous convictions should have been ample wanting.” Defendant was prohibited from obtaining a license for a year.
