FEILDING STOCK SALE.
AUCTIONEERS’ REPORT. The Associated Auctioneers report on the Feilding sale of Friday, as follows:—The result of the recent cold rough weather was reflected in the tone of the sheep market. Although the quality of the lambs yarded was for the most part better than the previous week’s offering, buyers held off and bidding was lifeless. Realisations for top lines showed a drop of from Is 6d to 2s on the last sale. Aredium and inferior sorts sold more freely at prices showing a decline of about Is. On the whole, the sale in the store lamb section was disappointing to vendors. A medium entry of fat sheep showed no alteration in values. The supply of beef was in excess of requirements and values showed a slight tall. There was very slight enquiry for store station cattle and only odd pens found purchasers. Boner and dairy stock sold on a par with late rates.
