Miss May Wynyard, who has been visiting Palmerston North, Marton, and Wanganui, lias returned to her home at Te Awamutu.

Mrs L. Beggs, ol Palmerston North, and Miss Lorna Catley, of Kuku, have left ior a tour to Auckland and expect to return about the end of the month.

Miss Tui Anderson, who has been staying with Miss Ada Cope, of Albert. Street, and Mrs l‘\ D. Lewis, of Dahlia Street, has returned to her home in the Wairarapa. Miss L. Bridge, matron of the Pathhone Maternity Home, AVa.ipawa, has been granted six months’ leave of absence by the Waipawa Hospital Board to allow her to visit England. Jn her absence, Miss M. Cordon will bo act-ing-matron. Miss Elizabeth Loo, of London, until reeentfy a British Drama League tutor from the Central School of Dramatic Art, London, and the Hull Repertory Theatre, to the New Zealand branch of the league, has arrived in Auckland and will take up her residence there. Miss Loe has acted as commentator at several Drama League Festivals in Palmerston North and other parts of the Dominion.

Mrs Eden Tilyard, widow of Mr Joseph Tilyard, whose death has occurred at Wellington in her 81st year, was horn in Melbourne. After settling in Southland and being married at Riverton, she lived at Waratah, Tasmania, until her return to New Zealand in 1801 after which she lived in Wellington. She was a, keen follower of Rugby football, several other sons living Wellington and New Zealand representatives. Mrs Tilyard leaves six sons and seven daughters. Tlie sons all live in Wellington. They are Messrs James Tilyard (captain of tlie New Zealand Rugby team which visited Australia in 19201, Fred Tilyard (1923 All Black), C. F. Tilyard (Wellington Rugby representative), Harry Tilyard (Wellington Rugby representative), and Messrs William and J. C. Tilyard. The daughters are Mosdames L. de Jammy (Auckland). A. M. Griffiths (Khandallah, mother of the All. Black Mr J. L. Griffiths). A. Hutton (Napier), A. Jacobsen (Wellington), J. Wilson (Wellington). M. McKenzie (Khandallah), and T. Russell (Khandallah).
