MEMORIAL SERVICE. A special service in memory of the late Mrs A. A. Palhuit, of Pinfold Road, Woodville, was conducted t». Major and Mrs J. Mahaffie, of Masterton in the local Salvation Army Hall, last evening, there being a verylarge congregation. The platform was draped in mauve and white, an. the flowers-were of a si mi •■hi* colour. Glowing tributes to the life and scivice of the late Mrs Pallant, as a sterling Salvationist, were given l>y Mrs H. Mills, Messrs H- Hammond, sonr. A. K. Richards, and Captain L Jones. A solo was contributed byMr J McCullough, of Auckland, and Mr and -Mrs T>. Kea.v rendered a vocal duet, whilst the band played an appropriate selection, “The Christian's Good Night.”
