HERR HITLER’S DECISION.
CONTROL OF ECONOMICS. UNIFICATION PLAN. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received January 21, 10.55 a.m. BERLIN, Jan. 20. With the object of unifying his economic, financial, capital and market policy, Herr Hitler has relieved Ur. H. G. H. Schacht of the presidency of the lieicbsbank and has appointed Dr. Funk as his successor. Dr. Funk is retaining the Ministry of Economics. Dr. Schacht as a Minister without portfolio will be engaged in special work.
Herr Hitler has sent a letter to Dr. IFunk ordering the completion of the conversion of the Reichsbank into a central bank unconditionally subject to the State’s sovereignty; also, a guarantee of the unconditional stability of wages and prices to secure the future of the mark. Herr Hitler, in a letter to Dr. Schacht, warmly thanked him for his cervices.
