LAMB FOR CANADA.
FURTHER SHIPMENTS

Further experimental shipments of New Zealand lanihs for the Eastern Canadian market are being made this season by the New Zealand Meat .Producers Hoard, and the first consignment was recently despatched by the steamer Kaipara. It will be distributed from two points, 1000 lambs going to Toronto, and the remainder to Montreal. The New Zealand Trade Commissioner in Toronto will handle the shipment in accordance with experience gained last season, when the board's London manager visited Canada in connection with two experimental shipments which were made at the time.
The entry of New Zealand lamb into Canada lias been greatly facilitated by a trade agreement negotiated with tlic Canadian Government by Hon. W. Nash (Minister of Finance), under which the duty was reduced from 3 cents per lb to half a cent.
