OBITUARY.
AIISS E. CHAPLIN. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 20. The death has occurred of Aliss Emily Chaplin, a member of the Canterbury College Council and a vice-president of the National Council of Women. She trained as a teacher, holding office at one period as president of the Teachers’ Institute and also of the AVomen Teachers’ Association.
Aliss Chaplin’s experience and interest in educational matters received further recognition when she was chosen as one of the New Zealand delegates to the first Pan-Pacific Women’s Conference, held at Honolulu.
