FROZEN MEAT TRADE.

LAMB VALUES WEAKER. BEEF MARKET STEADY. Lamb market.—Because of extremely cold weather demand is for heavier meats with lamb in poor request. Because of heavy arrivals Australian prices arc weaker. Mutton market: Wethers and ewes, prices unchanged but trade slow Beef market: Frozen beef, meeting with good demand. Chilled beef, steady, with good’ Christmas trade. New Zealand porker pigs: Firm with consumption good. New Zealand biiconer pigs: Better demand on the improved bacon prices. Boneless bobby veal: Trade continues very slow. The above report was received yesterday by the Meat Board from its London office, which advises that the following are the ruling prices of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of frozen meat mentioned, and arc for representative parcels of the goods sold on Thursday. Chilled beef prices are averages of the week. AH prices are on the basis of delivered to jsmitlifield market.
