OPERATION AT SEA.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Dec. Sff. An appendix operation at sea performed by Dr Joseph Auerbach was the only incident of note on the Monterey’s passage from San Francisco to Auckland. The patient was a passenger, Mr IL E. Smith, who is travelling to Sydney. His condition became acute between Honolulu and Suva, and the operation was successful.
