Mr W. McNair Snadden was the official Unionist candidate.,. . The result at tlie last"election was: The Duclicss of Atlioll (Con.) 15,238; Mrs C. A. ! MacDonald, 10,069. The Duchess of Atlioll recently resigned her seat, being in disagreement'with the Government’s foreign policy. She said she intended to fight, tlie - fiy-election on that issue.
