CONDITIONS IMPROVING. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Dec. 23. Under the influence of the tropical depression which is now centred north of the Kermadec Islands, there has been some fall of pressure in the north, but in the south it has continued to rise slowly. An anti-cyclone of slight intensity is located over the Tasman Sea. Forecast. —Moderate to strong, but later decreasing southerly winds. Weather: Mainly overcast with a few light showers at first, but later improving. Temperatures, cold; seas, rather rough to rough.
