WELLINGTON SHARE MARKET.

After twelve months of uncertainties and setbacks, the Wellington stock and share market closed yesterday on a weak and depressed note. Little busi-, ness was transacted in view of the Christmas vacation and a very languid interest was shown. New Zealand Government loans lacked support, the few weak quotations expressing the hesitancy of the market, Bank shares were dull and little changed. All other New Zealand shares were weak and buying interest was locking. Australian issues were quiet, but generally firm.
