A giant sturgeon, weighing 767 pounds, was recently captured in the Fraser ’ River near Vancouver. From the otolith rings on the ear-bone, Govvernment fisheries inspectors have determined that the fish was well over 100 years old. Each ring on the bone indicates one year in the fish’s life.
