GRADING FIGURES.

DECREASE FOlt LAST SEASON. WELLINGTON, Dec. 23. Figures showing the total gradings of butter and cheese for the 12 months ended July. 31, 1938, are given in the report. Comparative figures for 193637 and 1035-36 are also given. The figures are:

Butler gradings for the 1937-38 season show a decrease of 7.59 per cent., and cheese gradings a decrease of 3.12 per cent. Expressed in terms of butterfat, the total decrease in gradings is 6.656 per cent. The quantities of butter and cheese exported from the various grading ports of the Dominion between August 1, 1937, and July 31, 1938, were as follow :
