CHILDREN’S TREAT. Another of the series of Christmas treats for children was held on Wednesday, when the Foresters’ Lodge’s annual entertainment for the families of members took place. The juveniles were, as usual, generously supplied with toys by Fattier Christmas, and members of the social committee. Cordials, sweets, balloons, and supper were provided for the juveniles. Farents and friends also sat down to supper. In spite of wintry-like weather and sickness, there was a very good attendance, and the gathering was most successful, everything being done for the enjoyment, of the juveniles. The veteran secretary of the lodge (P.C.R. Bro. E. H. Giles) was untiring in his efforts, and a very cordial welcome was extended to all visitors. The committee acknowledged the special assistance again given by Bro. JSullivan, of Woodville, who is one of the oldest members of Court Poliangina (Ashhurst). Tfite social committee, which was assiduous in its duties, comprised Sisters 0. Pilcher, Barkwith Sullivan, Mrs C. W. Squires, and Miss Squires. Members of the committee and helpers were the recipients of gifts from Father Christmas. Bro. J. Beale provided radiogramophone selections. Subsequently a number of couples engaged in dancing.
