MARRIAGE NOTICES.
ISSUE ,OF LICENSES.
BIG INCREASE SHOWN
A boom period for marriage notices is being experienced at Palmerston North at present, and applications for licenses are averaging about five daily. Seats have had, to be provided for those waiting outside the Registrar’s office. Forty-one marriage notices liave been issued so far this month. , , Though the figures for the year do not close until December 31, a total of 379 marriage notices has so far been issued at this centre this year, compared with 306 for the corresponding period of 1937. This represents an increase of about- 20 per cent.
