CONSERVING YARNS.
JAPANESE PRECAUTION. TOKIO, Oct. 6. The Japanese Ministry of Commerce and Industry is sealing weaving machines employed in the production of goods for home consumption. Twenty per cent, of the machines in mills having five to 10 machines will be sealed, rising to 48 per cent, for mills with over 100 machines. One object of restricting production is to economise the supply of yarns, which is rapidly declining.
