BURMESE RIOTS.
149 KILLED; 537 INJURED. RANGOON, Aug. 26. It is officially stated that 149 persons were killed and 537 injured in the recent communal riots in Burma. The Government is appointing a committee of inquiry. OPPOSITION CENSURE. GOVERNMENT JUST SURVIVES. Received August 27, 9.25 a.m. RANGOON, Aug. 26. By a majority of five,, the Government survived the Opposition vote of censure for its failure to avert the riots.
