(From Our Own Correspondent.) LONGBURN, Aug. 26. There was only a fair attendance at the flag 500 held in St. Chad’s Church room. Prizes were won by Mrs Smart and Mrs Holland, Mr Bolsted and Mr Rhodes. J " The friends of Mr Fletcher will bo pleased to learn that ho has returned home from tbe Palmerston North Hospital. Mrs Conway and her daughter are in Wellington attending the competitions. Mr F. Hcarsey, of Christchurch; has returned after paying a 6hort visit to his parents, Mr and Mrs J. Hcarsey, Karere Road. Mrs Martin’s friends will be sorry to .learn of tho death of her sister, Mrs Broad, of Christchurch. Mrs G. Allman and her son, Mr A. Gale, have returned home after enjoying a motor trip of the North Island. Mifi3 N. Voss is staying with Miss Shirley Wallace, of Raetihi. The friends of Mr G. Chamberlain will regret to hear of the death of his brother, which occurred at Gisborne recently. Miss E. Bell, of Wellington, has been visiting her mother, Mrs G. N. Bell, Karere Road. Mrs Chamberlain has returned from Gisborne and Mr and Mrs J. Calleson and daughter from Havelock North.
