Thirty years ago, wealthy Samuel G. Davis of New York, a summer resident of Cape Cod, had his hat blown off while, driving through the village of Mashpee, Massachussetts. It wa6 retrieved by a small boy, who politely returned it and rejected a proffered coin. But Mr Davis was so impressed by the act be left £IO,OOO the income of which is to go to Mashpee boys with “kind, good manners.”
