The North Island badminton championship was continued at Wanganui last evening, results of games in which Manawatu competitors participated being as follow :-rCHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS. Men’s A Grade Singles.—C. Sheerin (Palmerston North) beat R. Broad, 15—4, 5—15, 15—11; Shea-in beat A. Holroyd, 15—5, 12—13, 15—10. Semifinals : J. Pavton beat 0. Dunn (Levin), 15—10, 6—15, 15—12. Women’s Singles.—Semi-finals: Miss T. Greaves beat Mrs C. Dunn (Levin), 11— 11—0. Men’s Doubles. —C. Sheerin and E. Christmas beat I. Low and W. Roberts, 15—6, 15—7. Mixed Doubles.—T. Low and Mrs To vi of dale beat H. Margison and Miss llodden (Palmerston North), 15—6, 12— 17—16 HANDICAP EVENTS. Men’s Singles.—A. Holroyd (25) beat H. Margison (5), 21—16; C. Dunn (25) beat H. Allward (10), 21— 8. Men’s Doubles. —H. Margison and Mcßae (2) beat D. Fisher and N. Cullen (scr.), 21—18. Women’s Doubles.—Mrs Dunn and Miss Rodden (22) beat Misses L. Moyc and Balfour (10), 21—12.
