FARMERS’ UNION.
A meeting of th<» Woodville branch of the Farmers' Union was held last evening, Mr J. C. Bolton presiding. As Mr E. J. Harding, who was active as secretary for a considerable time, desired to be ■ relieved of the position, Mr J. Mitchell consented to carry out the duties for the remainder of the vear. Mr Harding was accorded thanks for his services, the president speaking in appreciation of these. A communication was received from the provincial secretary at Dannevirke, relative to an address by Miss Kohn. who has been visiting other parts or Hawke's Bay, on a subject of- interest . lo farmers and their wives. It was : agreed to invite Miss Kohn to visit ! Woodville.
