The Meat Board is advised by its London office that the shipments from Australia, South America, and South Africa to the United Kingdom during the first half of August were as fol- '° Australia.—2o,l2B carcases ■ mutton, 33,868 carcases Jamb, 52,605 quarters beef (frozen), 7020 quarters beet (chilled). , South America. —2894 carcases muttoil. '62,618 carcases lamb, 2348 quarters beef (frozen), 181,733 quarters beef (chilled). 1 ~ South Africa (including Southern Rhodesia). C The shipments from New Zealand to the United Kingdom for the first halt of August were as follow: —155,990 carcases mutton, 406,773 carcases lamb 14,175 quarters beef (frozen), 7565 quarters beef (chilled).
