LABOUR PARTY.
A very enjoyable evening was spent in the Longburn Hall recently. There was a big crowd and the hall presented a very animated scene. An orchestra was in attendance and dancing was kept up unti\ midnight. Much enthusiasm was displayed in the “Bell of/the Ball” competition, the entrants being Miss Sweeney, Miss Aiden (queen), Mrs J. McDonald and Miss Holland. The winner was Miss Sweeney. Another competition of interest was the naildriving, Master Sullivan and Mrs B. McKay being the winners. A feature was the waltzing competition, Mr-and Mrs Woodley being the winners. The judge was Miss Oliver. The winners at euchre were Mrs McLellan and Airs Noonan. Mr O. L. Hunter, ALT’., and Mrs Hunter, accompanied by two of their children, and Miss Aiden (the western queen) and Air Bowater, were also present.
