BULLS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, Aug. 25. Advice has been received from Wanganui that all senior competition games have been brought to a close, so Bulk seniors will not have to “scratch” for a team to meet Marists on Saturday. The “Greater Move” scheme has been prolonged beyond all reason this season, and as far as Bulls is concerned we have had less really worthwhile football than ever.
On Tuesday night a flag “500” party was held in support, of the town baby in the carnival, but the attendance was only fair. Those at the winning table wore Mcsdaincs Shaw and Furrer, and Messrs C. Price and Klatt. Mr F. A. Holland, who has been ill for several weeks, is noir recuperating at paraparaumu. Rex Bromley, who has been seriously ill in Wanganui Hospital, is now reported to be improving. Another local resident, Mr V. Edwards, is also regaining health in the same institution. Bulls and Taikorea basketball clubs played yesterday, Taikorea winning by 30 goals to 12. The season is now closed.
