(From Our Own Correspondent.) ASHHURST, Aug. 25. Masses of pastel shaded camellias, daintily arranged with ferns, made the Town Hall look very colourful when the Aehhurst Branch qf the Labour Party bold a carnival dance, when all three queens were present. An attractive featuro was a competition to decide on the ‘ belle of the ball” five candidates entering. Miss Eileen Eaton proved successful, with Miss i ■ Walker a close runner-up. Mr U Hunter, M.P., introduced the. three Queens, Misses Adm, Edhouse and MacDonald. He expressed aprpeciation of the work they had assisted in 1™ yodo.lino* items wove rendered by Mr bnnth. Extras were played by Mrs Hewitt, and tho duties of M.G. were earned out by Mr A Stephens. Later the goods on. tho gift stall were sold. Among those prebent were: Mesdames Judd, pale green taffeta R.
