TO-MOROW’S ATTRACTIONS. ’VARSITY RIJGBY MATCH. In connection with the North Island v. Soutli Island University Rugby match to be played at Palmerston North to-morrow afternoon, tho -Mayor (Mr A. E. Mansford), in a letter states that this is tho first time this match Has ever been played _ outside the four main centres, and on this occasion it is only being played here as a result ol the efforts of those who have persistently advocated the claims of Palmerston North; as to whether it will again be played here depends on the support accorded it by the public on this occasion. Those attending can roly on soeing a really firstclass exhibition o£ Rugby, as most of the players have represented their respective provinces during the year. His Worship hopes citizens will turn out to this match iu large numbers and support those who have advocated the claims of Palmerston North.
