MISS KERNOT RETAINS TITLE.
\ .. .' SYDNEY, Aug. 25. Miss Kernot (Victoria) retained the women’s open golf championship today by beating Miss Vedas Ebert, New South Wales country champion, by 7 and 6 over the 36 holes final.
Miss Kernot was 3 up at the end of the morning round - and reeled off 12 holes in 2 over par this afternoon.
