TENIKOIT NOTES.
Although ham ix3red by the fact that only one afternoon’s play each week is possible,- the general standard of tenikoit play has improved tremendously this seasonl Many interesting games, as well as matches, show the enthusiasm of members. Recently a challenge was issued by Mr L. Andrews to a team to be captained by Mr R. Hopwood. A very exciting deciding match proved the challenging team victorious bv 24 points to 22. Great interest has been shown in the matches for the silver buttons, which are at present held bv Miss J. Barnett and Mr D. Mitchell.
The championship matches are now the order of the play and will shortly be into the final stages, when some very closely contested and exciting games will be played. A visit from members of the Napier Tenikoit Club is looked forward to in the near future. /
