COPIOUS WATER SUPPLY.
MEEK’S RAIN IN N.S.W. SYDNEY, Aug. 25. A week’s drenching rain has ensured two years’ water supply for the metropolitan area resulting in the liftiug of the water restrictions. Flooding is reported from Mossvale, Bowral, Mittagong, the southern slopes, and along the Nepean River, 30 miles south of Sydney, where residents have been warned to move to higher ground. Splendid rains have been reported in all the ivhent and pastoral areas throughout -the State.
