MARKET REPORT.

The Dominion Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report receiving a capacity yarding of pigs at their weekly fair held on Thursday, the total entry comprising 400. Prices were firm on last week’s rates, best weaaers realising up to 28s, porkers up to ,43s 6d, and baconers to £3 11s. A large entry of poultry also came forward, there still being a keen demand for all linos, W.L. hens realising up to 4s 3d each and prime blacks-to ss. -Wo quote as follow: —Pigs: Best quality weaners from 25s to 28s; medium from 20s to 23s 6d; small and backward from 15s 6d to 19s; slips from 25s to 30s; stores, from 29s to 345, porkers to 43s 6d; baconers to £3 11s. Poultry: Prime 8.0. hens from 9s 6d to 10s per pair; best W.L. hen 6,8 s to 8s 6d ; lighter, from 7s to 7s 6d.; heavy cockerels, from 8s to 9s 6d: light cockerels, from 5s to 6s fid; breeding cockerels, to 10s each; ducks, from 7s to 8s per pair; turkey gobblers, to 12s 6d each; turkey hens, to 7s 6d each; pullets, from 4s to 5s each. Produce: Apples, ex cool store, Delicious, from 7s to 8s per bushel; Granny Smith’s, from 6s to 7s 6d; Statesman, from 6s to 7s; Sturmers, from 5s to 7s; Ballarats, from 6s to 6s 6d; orchard apples, from 4s 6d to 5s 6d per bushel. Pears, dessert, from 5s to 7s 3d per %- case. Demons, from 7s to 10s per case. Cauliflowers, from 13s to 15s 6d per bag. Cabbage, Savoy, from 9s to 15s per bag; Drumhead, from 14s to 16s.
