PALESTINE UNREST.
POLICE PATROL AMBUSHED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Aug. 23. A telegram received by the Colonial Office to-day states that a police patrol was ambushed near Beisan, Palestine. The patrol attacked a.gang which numbered 30 and killed four. There were no police casualties. ARMED BANDS ROUTED. MILITARY ACTION. (British Official Wireless.) Received August 25, 10.50 a.m. RUGBY, Aug. 24. Advice from Palestine states that the military and police force routed a series of armed bands which had been sniping on traffic on the NazarethTiberias road. Fourteen bandits were killed and one British soldier was seriously wounded. Two nights ago the gang raided a hydrographical survey camp ten miles east of Beisan and murdered three Bussian engineers and did extensive damage.
